Who We Are

“We believe that health care is a basic human right, and everyone is entitled to high-quality, affordable, comprehensive care. Our mission is to educate and advocate for the establishment of a fully publicly financed single-payer health care program. Everybody in, nobody out.”

PNHP-Missouri (PNHP-MO) is a chapter of Physicians for a National Health Program (PNHP). We are physicians, medical students, health professionals and other advocates who believe that access to high-quality health care is a right and should be provided equitably as a public service rather than bought and sold as a commodity.

We are volunteers from all walks of life who educate and advocate for a single-payer health insurance system. We believe that our current Medicare program should be improved and expanded to include all people living in the United States. We believe there is a confluence of clinical, economic, and moral imperatives.

PNHP-Missouri was founded in 2012 to promote progressive change in health care at all levels. We collaborate with other progressive organizations advocating for social justice in healthcare.
